Global payments network Klarna is broadening its collaboration with UK-based online fashion behemoth MandM Direct – setting sights on an even larger international audience.
MandM Direct, renowned for its discounted clearance stock from top brands including Adidas and Puma, has amassed over three million active shoppers across Europe.
The retailer’s expansive network, delivering to more than 25 countries, dovetails with Klarna’s ambition to extend its seamless payment services worldwide.
After their successful partnerships in the UK and Germany, Klarna and MandM Direct are now launching services in Ireland, France, Poland, the Netherlands and Denmark.
This feature allows patrons to divvy up their purchase cost into three easy instalments, coupled with the added advantage of tracking expenditures via the Klarna app.
Raji Behal, Klarna’s head of Western & Southern Europe, commented on this deepened collaboration: “Extending our partnership with a leading online fashion retailer reflects our commitment to offering users the best possible choice when using the Klarna platform.
“We are proud to offer our pay later service to more MandM customers internationally, and hope that our partnership will continue to flourish.”
Klarna impact
Klarna is set to overtake all other BNPL providers in the key US market by 2027, according to a report published by Business Insider.
The company launched in the US in 2015 and has offices in Austin, Columbus, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York City, Portland and San Francisco.
According to Business Insider: ‘By the end of 2027, Klarna will handily lead Affirm, Afterpay, and Zip on annual payment value. All four will need to diversify their products and harness demographic trends to actualize growth.”’
